University of Glasgow tells students to report Bonnie Blue

The University of Glasgow has asked students to report the adult film star Bonnie Blue to security if she is seen on campus.

Students acting as volunteers for fresher’s week at the four student unions were told by the University’s head of security that they “had three things to worry about: drugs, alcohol, and Bonnie Blue.”

Bonnie Blue, whose real name is Tia Emma Billinger, is expected to be present in Glasgow today as she launches her ‘Freshers Meet and Greet Tour’.

The event is billed to see her travel across the UK in what she has described on social media as a “bang bus”.

Ms Billinger’s tour is scheduled to take her to nine different British cities in the month of September.

Ms Billinger is known for extreme sexual stunts, and has claimed to have previously slept with 1000 men within 24 hours.

The tour has been planned to coincide with various university fresher’s weeks.

One student told Hillhead Review that the head of University security said to student volunteers that Ms Billinger’s presence on campus would be a “safeguarding issue” and warned them to not personally engage with her under any circumstances.

Instead they were advised to report Ms Billinger through the University’s SafeZone app if she or her tour bus are spotted on campus.

The student added: “The head of security told us that there are three things we have to worry about during freshers week: drugs, alcohol, and Bonnie Blue.

“We were told that perhaps she had come to Glasgow because it’s more liberal.”

Hillhead Review understands that Ms Billinger had originally planned to begin her event in Dundee but moved the first day of the event to Glasgow as a result of public backlash.

The MP for East Kilbride and Strathaven, Joani Reid, likened Ms Billinger’s plans to “exploitation” and said that they “put women at risk”.

She also called on the University of Glasgow to ban Ms Billinger from their campus.

The University of Glasgow has been contacted for comment.

  7. This situation highlights how universities must balance campus safety, student welfare, and public attention. Clear communication helps avoid confusion while maintaining a secure environment for everyone involved. Just as transparency matters in education, it is equally important in book marketing, where trust and credibility play a major role in public engagement.
